Welcome to the online portfolio of David Rhodes. My specialties are "animator friendly" character rigging, character effects and tool development. I have spent more than a year dabbling in various aspects of the Character TD pipeline (professionally). At Raven Software, I was exposed to a full motion capture pipeline, in which I was in charge of creating the rigs and tools required to retarget motion to game characters in a way that was quick, simple, and most importantly, flexible (limitless tweaking - post motion capture process). I have since done character effects work, such as cloth, hair, fur, and other secondary animation (Rhythm and Hues Studios). Currently, I am employed at LucasArts, working on Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. MEL is my second language.

The tools and techniques I have learned while on the job have proven invaluable. I hope to continually expand on those techniques in a production environment that supports creativity and ingenuity.
